Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) Alliance
The Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) Alliance is a multi-stakeholder collaborative committed to strengthening people-centered, equitable, and integrated healthcare systems in India and other regions. Aligned with WHO and Government of India frameworks, the Alliance advances universal health coverage by addressing not only medical needs but also the social, behavioral, and financial determinants of health. It connects, scales, and institutionalizes healthcare innovations while driving convergence across government, private sector, academic institutions, public health experts, and civil society to create lasting impact and build a resilient, inclusive healthcare ecosystem. CPHC delivers an expanded package of preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative services close to communities, ensuring care goes beyond basic treatment. The Alliance strengthens access through community health centers and mobile diagnostics, provides a strong continuum of care with robust referral and tele-health systems, and leverages digital health platforms to track patient journeys and inform public health strategies. With a focus on community participation, preventive education (NCDs, WASH, and menstrual health), and continuous capacity building of the health workforce, the Alliance promotes culturally relevant and sustainable solutions. A knowledge management system strengthens practice improvements, while continuous workforce training adapts to evolving challenges. Above all, the Alliance is committed to “adding million healthy days” to communities that need them the most—ensuring vulnerable populations not only survive but thrive, while advancing equity, wellbeing, and shared prosperity.
