The Ceasefire Support Group (CfSG)

The Ceasefire Support Group (CfSG), advocates for a Gaza ceasefire. With 91 members from 20 countries, it supports grassroots social innovators, fosters dialogue, and builds solidarity for decolonization and justice. The Ceasefire Support Group (CfSG) came together in March 2024 as an initiative by the India chapter of Catalyst 2030 to support the UN resolution for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Palestine in March 2024. It now has 91 members from about 20 countries. A Collective Statement, drafted by the CfSG, accepted and approved by the NAISE (India) Executive Group, was further supported by other country chapters of Tunisia, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Mauritania, and the Regional chapter of MENA. While the CfSG continues to advocate for a ceasefire its vision and mission have evolved. CfSG Vision: An ecosystem of social innovation and impact grounded in the ethics of care, mutuality, and justice. CfSG Mission: Supporting grassroots social innovators to overcome systemic barriers of apartheid and colonialism by creating a community-led network that democratises social impact. Collaborations There are two collaborations under the CfSG "Listening and Learning" is a Catalyst 2030 collaboration under the Ceasefire Support Group. It invites all those who are keen towards magnifying the voice of Palestinians and other communities affected by settler-colonial violence in order to: Create a safe space for dialogue Gather experience and evidence to inform solutions guided by communities affected by colonial violence Create awareness and cultivate empathy "Solutions and Resourcing" is another Catalyst 2030 collaboration under the aegis of the Ceasefire Support Group. This group seeks to harness the power of collective action to support social innovators and communities subjected to apartheid and settler-colonial violence in Palestine and other affected countries. It works with affected communities to: - Support grassroots social innovators in designing and implementing strategic social innovation interventions. - Build bridges between local and global social impact ecosystems. - Collate best practices of innovation, resistance, resilience, and relief from decolonisation struggles across the globe.
