My Motivation to Join Catalyst Now As a passionate social entrepreneur and climate action advocate, my motivation to join Catalyst Now is driven by a deep commitment to systemic change, collaboration, and community-driven solutions that create lasting impact. 1. Driving Systemic Change for Smallholder Farmers & Climate Action Through my work with Bunyala Agri Climate Action Impact Solutions, I have seen firsthand the challenges that smallholder farmers and fisher communities face—climate change, limited market access, high input costs, and a lack of sustainable solutions. By leveraging innovative approaches such as Black Soldier Fly (BSF) feed production, renewable energy solutions, and digital skills training, I aim to scale sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices that empower these communities. 2. Collaboration as a Key to Transformative Impact I believe in the power of collective action. Catalyst Now presents an incredible opportunity to connect with like-minded changemakers, share knowledge, and co-create solutions that address global challenges. By joining this network, I hope to bring African grassroots innovations to a global stage while also learning from successful models worldwide. 3. Our goal as an organization to join Catalyst 2030 is to collaborate with like-minded organizations/innovators to address the current plastic pollution and climate crises and achieve our targeted SDGs (1, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, & 14). I am super inspired by Catalyst2030 and its work to fast-track the SDGs. I am an advocate for SDG 7, SDG 4, and SDG 13, but generally, all the SDGs since they are all interconnected. Omena is breaking the cycle of emotional abuse through preventive, evidence-based social-emotional education and community support. Our work in Madagascar improves mental health, building resilient communities and fostering economic empowerment. By training community educators, we empower young people to build healthier relationships and increase self-esteem, creating lasting, positive change. We aim to share our approach with the Catalyste 2030 community to address this global issue together.

As humanitarian funding shifts towards sustainable, long-term interventions to reduce aid dependency, RAI recognizes the need to evolve our approaches for lasting socio-economic change in the displaced populations we serve. By joining Catalyst 2030, we aim to improve our systems, adopt best practices, and contribute more effectively to the community and SDG achievement with valuable guidance from the network.

My social enterprise focuses on creating inclusive, safe spaces for brave conversations as we build long term, sustainable cultures of positive peace and a world leaving no one behind. Working hand in hand with my NFP, Learn Peace Canada, we work with key stakeholders and use education as our most transformational tool for change; peace education for a better tomorrow invests not only in our young leaders but also in OUR future. I have rsearched extensively about the Catalyst 2030 community, what stands out for me is the collaborative ecosystem. I hope to actively contribute to and learn from the impactful work of Catalyst Now. From July 2025, I hope to find employment or pursue an internship in this field of work. I aim to apply the skills I have developed in research and event organisations - gained through my academic experiences and my internship at the Henry Jackson Society - along with my experience in media and communication - gained from my ongoing work for Villa Skovly Glamping.

ISSTA will share experiences on challenges to sustainable development in Uganda and Africa in general. It will seek replication models of various response actions that network NSAs have implemented to circumvent inclusive growth challenges in which duty bearers have blocked progress on SDGs achievement in areas of climate justice, health justice, fair distribution of economic opportunities, human rights observance in a context of newly found oil and mineral wealth and the ensuant land grabbing.

To learn from other global leaders working around transforming food systems in their various countries and to share experiences working with policymakers, women, and youths in transforming food systems in Nigeria with a strong focus on SDGs 2, 4, 8, 13, and 17.

I want to be part of Catalyst Now because I believe in collaborating to accelerate change in diverse societies' equity and quality of life. At a time when we are witnessing the resurgence of conflicts and the deterioration of human and environmental rights, it is essential to promote initiatives that promote a more just and sustainable future.

Our contribution is the living reality of our Amazonian youth network (Indigenous, Quilombola) and our "corpo-território" worldview, connecting climate justice to our communities' well-being. We offer to build a Local Chapter and share our advocacy methods. In return, we seek a global community to break our isolation, access to systems change tools to strengthen our grassroots network, and allies to build fairer funding models for the Global South.

I hope to acquire strong leadership skills, strong entrepreneurial competencies, a strong network of people from diverse backgrounds with different professions that will help me improve and grow my initiatives through knowledge transfer, capacity building and sharing, I also hope to gain extended knowledge on how to brand my business. On contrary, I hope to share with the rest of the members a spectrum of my skills and knowledge in strong negotiation strategies, excellent sales and marketing.

Opportunities to learn form other similar organizations. For instance, Indigenous people in Canada find it difficult to access training in communities that is culturally sensitive and addresses local socioeconomic needs (housing, food security, health, finance, etc). There is a need for sustainable support that is innovative and stimulates a circular economy. Ex: short term funding & policies that don't support autonomy.

My motivation to join the Catalyst Now community is rooted in my commitment to building sustainable impact through collaboration, innovation, and empowerment. I have been part of DiaLeb since 2016 as a volunteer, and I am currently completing a 6-month internship with the organization. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from USEK, and I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Diplomacy and Strategic Negotiations at Sagesse University in Lebanon. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of food insecurity and economic hardship during my 12 years in refugee camps, I am driven to create lasting positive change in undeserved communities.
