Do you prioritize collaboration over silos? See a need to move beyond local one-off projects to multisector initiatives that address root causes? Are you an innovator wanting to address systems that are creating barriers? This session will provide examples from those who are localizing the advancement of the SDGs with a whole-of-society/whole-community approach. An overview of the critical role of localized community-centred solutions and an emerging and critical role for sector-connectors as well as how-tos for tapping the collective wisdom of residents/citizens, businesses, government, and social purpose organizations will be shared and discussed. The session will raise awareness of the UN’s statement that 65% of the SDGs will only be advanced if they are addressed locally.
