Social Entrepreneurs Dialogue to Rethink Collaborative Action on Climate Impacts

10 May 2024 | 15:00 - 16:00
Thought Leadership/ Narrative Shift

Climate change is a global issue that affects every corner of the planet. Social entrepreneurs collaborating across borders allows for a more comprehensive understanding of the diverse impacts of climate disasters and the development of holistic solutions that consider various perspectives. They bring unique expertise, experiences, and resources to the table. Collaboration among social entrepreneurs from different countries also enables a wider sharing of best practices, tools, innovative ideas, and technologies that have been successful in one region but may be applicable elsewhere as well. Climate change requires adaptive and disruptive responses that are often context-specific. Collaborating with social entrepreneurs from diverse regions enhances these responses by drawing on a broader pool of knowledge and expertise. Most importantly collaborative efforts among social entrepreneurs can amplify the collective voice and advocacy efforts of the sector, influencing policymakers at both national and international levels to take more courageous and ambitious action on climate change. As a unified front, social entrepreneurs can advocate for policies that attack climate change in a sustainable and equitable way.
