Eliminating Multidimensional Poverty Means Allowing Communities to Own Theirs

The Poverty Stoplight is a participatory, bottom-up poverty measurement tool and coaching methodology to help individuals learn how to navigate systems while the important work of systemic change is occurring. The metric allows families to self-diagnose their level of multidimensional poverty and develop customized strategies to lift themselves permanently out of poverty. The methodology & tool also allow businesses, NGOs & govs to support families’ efforts to pull themselves out of poverty in efficient, targeted ways.

Participants will learn:
What poverty actually means and who owns it
How self-diagnosis and self-determined action are needed to eliminate poverty
How businesses and communities outside of the “normal” realm can eliminate poverty
