As the world faces increasingly severe climate challenges, it’s imperative to reevaluate the principles guiding climate funding, emphasizing the integration of people-powered solutions. Catalysts for Climate, a flagship collaboration within the Catalyst 2030 network has worked extensively to call for inclusion of these solutions on funding tables.
The World Bank has launched the Civil Society and Social Innovation facility and is now eager to co-create it with the sector, including community leaders from all over the world. This session seeks to delve into how the World Bank can incorporate people-powered solutions into its funding mechanisms, thereby fostering local solutions and resilience within communities worldwide.
