Try to imagine if our planet suddenly turned upside down.
What would be the vision of the world about the distribution of powers? Who will still be in control? Is there a place for Europe in this new world?
Ideally, there should be dialogue and a flow of ideas about how we could create an equitable and respectful world for all life forms. There must be a structural learning framework on how Europe can learn from the experience of the Global South.
For this purpose, this session will be divided into 3 specific sub-themes. Consideration of which will give us answers to the questions posed:
Challenge 1 (Past) – discussion of the past relations between Europe and the Global South (colonisation).
Challenge 2 (Current) – discussion of the current crisis in Europe. Possible and proposed solutions to the Global South to address existing European problems (decolonisation).
Challenge 3 (Future) – Searching for creative ideas in the new world of the future and defining Europe’s place in this new world.
