Every week 3 million people move to a new city. The global population of migrants has been rising for the past 20 years – reaching 281 million in 2020. Among them, 279 million are the migrants who are in need of integration services when they reach their new city.
SPEAK was created with the aim of promoting migrants and refugees’ social inclusion in their new cities, by connecting locals with newcomers and creating informal support networks where relationships are based on trust, loyalty and friendship.
Up to today, our community reached more than 70K users from more than 190 different nationalities. Our aim is to boost SPEAK accessibility to guarantee that everyone can join the SPEAK experience from anywhere in the world. In 2017 we started our replication program called “Take SPEAK to your city” which enables anyone to bring SPEAK to their cities to create inclusive communities. Up to today, we are in more than 20 cities in 9 different countries.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about our solution and to get an introduction on how they could use SPEAK in their city to build a community where everyone feels at home.
