Storytelling Session

Over a billion women and girls across the world still can’t access safe period solutions. Asan has done trailblazing work to address this crisis and enable women and girls to go to work and school while on their period. Through a community-driven model, Asan has provided extensive menstrual health education and Asan cup distribution across 36 villages in Karnataka, India, with a 90% adoption rate. Through this programme Asan has found that over 10 years, one woman gains 260 days of productive work, one household saves Rs.46,800 and 112 tonnes of plastic waste is averted across the 36 villages. In this session, Asan will share their best practises and insights on menstrual cup adoption amongst rural communities.
