We will hear from DOT Youth involved in Community-Based Research around what works to support young women in digital social innovation, and how Youth-Led Participatory Community-Based Action Research can shift the traditional power dynamics of who typically generates data, and how data is used by NGOs, policy makers, private sector, to address gaps and barriers for young women in the digital social innovation ecosystem.
We will share insights around what works to convene enabling ecosystems for gender equality, including cultivating the space and opportunity for collaborative learning, co-leadership, and learning from failure. Event participants will share lessons learned through their own ecosystem building work, including failures in implementation, successes in mitigating barriers to collaboration, and best practices for using transformative and inclusive community-based approaches.
