Achieving Systems Change Philanthropy for Proximately-led Initiatives
The Catalyst Hub pilots a methodology to advance philanthropy’s impact through tailored support to social entrepreneurs leading systems change.
Co-created with members of the Catalyst 2030 Donor Learning Group, the world’s leading advocates for social entrepreneurs, and social entrepreneurs themselves, the Catalyst Hub pilot illuminates pathways to facilitate strategic support to overcome bottlenecks for legitimate systems work to scale, as well as opportunities for collaborative, philanthropic impact. Thanks to seed funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, this effort has piloted a diagnostic process to identify barriers preventing seasoned systems leaders from expanding and deepening their work, and outlined a networked approach to providing catalytic support to accelerate and scale systems change efforts.
This session shares the lessons we have gained in 2023, in collaboration with key partners, Skoll, the Schwab Foundation, Echoing Green, Ashoka, the Gates Foundation and our Working Group. We will look to this exchange to further shape the future of this work and broader efforts to support catalytic philanthropy and system change initiatives.
