I cordially invite you to our forthcoming free surgical and medical camps scheduled to take place from 10th to 25th November, 2025, at the Source of River Nile in Uganda. We shall also be reaching out to the orphan children, widows, disabled, disaster affected communities and other needy groups in the region.Pre – Medical Students Volunteers:
ABA Foundation Medical Volunteering Program for Students and Professionals in Uganda give opportunity to the Medical Volunteers to gain hands-on experience in their own different fields while learning about medical and healthcare practices in Uganda and Africa.Depending on their background and qualifications, medical volunteers may be able to assist with dressing wounds, checking vitals, helping patients who have mobility issues, providing day-to-day assistance to local medical staff, conducting weekly health education workshops, and performing community outreach. They can also choose to work in an area based on their specialty, such as radiology, pediatrics, surgery, dentistry, and beyond.
Pre – Medical Students have always supported our local hospitals in general medicine, surgery, nursing, pharmacy, optometry, chiropractic, podiatry, and allied healthcare, Supporting local doctors and nurses, they learn hands-on clinical / medical skills like suturing, casting, surgery, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, physician assistant, among others.
Pre – Medical Student Volunteers are vital in a way that they provide the much needed support to understaffed hospitals in administrative functions depending on their level of knowledge and capabilities.
Accommodation:
Volunteers shall be accommodated in the Guest Houses / Hotels near the local hospitals and those who cannot afford to pay for the hotel accommodations shall be accommodated in the homes of our leaders near the local hospitals.Expenses:
Volunteers shall pay for their round trip flight tickets, hotel accommodations, food and airport transfers, and those who may wish to go for gorilla trekking in Western Uganda shall pay for their permits.What We Provide:
We shall pay for local transportation, provide free access to the internet, provide security, arrange a free tour for them, arrange a Royal Dinner in the Palace of our King, and provide a free orientation program among others.ABA Foundation remains committed and dedicated to saving lives and improving healthcare by providing free medical – healthcare for those in need in under-served communities and teaching and training local doctors and nurses on modern aspects of patients care and treatment.
