Social entrepreneurs are known for finding solutions for society’s problems. What is the problem that you are addressing, and what is your solution?

Tourism poses a threat to the environment in many vulnerable areas due to the stress on local land use and increased pollution. Mankind Digital promotes destinations and responsible travel providers who offer regenerative and sustainable tourism experiences, services, and accommodation. In addition, Mankind Digital works with a small group of businesses and brands in other industries who prioritise sustainability and the environment. These organisations align with our core values of social and environmental responsibility, authenticity, integrity and compassion.

What do you see as the benefit of your Catalyst 2030 membership?

Benefits include connecting with like-minded change-makers; developing international knowledge and awareness of challenges in other regions; collaborating on initiatives that will make a tangible difference to the tourism sector and the lives of the people that live in destinations prone to over tourism.

Are you collaborating with any other Catalyst 2030 members?

Yes, we have participated in a regenerative tourism course offered at The Tourism CoLab, we have engaged in business coaching at Changemakers’ Lab, and we have collaborated with Earth Changers on an exclusive interview and article about sustainable tourism, published on one of our partner websites: https://conscioustourism.com.au/in-conversation-with-vicky-smith/
