What is the Buddy System?
The Buddy System is a peer-to-peer mentoring programme. It creates peer connections that will also help to strengthen our Catalyst 2030 community.
This system fosters a unique relationship between two Catalyst 2030 members. They share each other’s experiences, provide inspiration and encouragement, help one another find a way to achieve goals and facilitate access to resources that may be helpful.
Although it can be structured, this is a flexible and dynamic process in which both members actively contribute to the relationship and build its strength and character.
What does a Buddy System offer?
- Creates a space for members to reflect on their interests, skills, and experiences.
- Provides members with peer support and guidance to fulfil their goals.
- Provides members with personal and professional leadership development tools.
- Fosters an environment for collaboration and networking.
How does the programme work?
The Buddy System is a three-month programme. Once you fill out the form, our team will get in touch with you for a kick-off session and mentorship training. You’ll then be matched with your Buddy.
The programme asks for a total commitment of 12 hours, two for the kick-off session and training and eight to engage with your Buddy.

How to join
- Complete the Buddy application form. Your responses will assist us in finding the ideal Buddy for you.
- Once you’ve submitted the application, a team member will get in touch with you to guide you through the next steps of the process.
