Omega Forum for Social Impact
Omega Forum for Social Impact (OFSI), formerly Omega Healthcare’s CSR arm, was established in 2023 as a dedicated foundation with the mission to drive transformative change in underserved communities. OFSI’s focus is on healthcare, women’s empowerment, and skilling, with a strong commitment to grassroots interventions that deliver sustainable impact. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), OFSI’s work reflects a comprehensive approach to addressing social challenges in marginalised regions.

Launched in 2015, Omega Healthcare’s CSR programme initially supported local healthcare and education projects. Over time, it broadened its scope to include women’s empowerment and livelihood programmes, reaching tens of thousands of beneficiaries. The evolution into OFSI marked a shift towards a more strategic focus on co-creation and collaboration with grassroots organisations, ensuring that its initiatives are tailored to the specific needs of rural and tribal communities in India.
Vision:
OFSI’s vision is to empower marginalised populations by improving access to essential healthcare services and economic opportunities.

Initiatives:
Healthcare initiatives:
focus on both preventive and curative care, including mental health support. By addressing key health challenges, OFSI works to enhance the overall well-being of individuals and families, ensuring healthier and more resilient communities. This healthcare approach is integral to reducing the health disparities between urban and rural populations.
Women’s empowerment and livelihood development:
form another cornerstone of OFSI’s work. Through micro-credit schemes and technical skills training, OFSI enables women in grassroots communities to establish micro-enterprises, increasing their financial independence and improving the quality of life for their families. This focus on women empowerment aims to create long-term economic sustainability and foster leadership within local communities.
Skilling programmes:
are geared towards equipping young people with the necessary tools to succeed in the digital economy. Project 10K, launched in 2022, aims to upskill 10,000 youths over five years, providing them with 21st-century skills that enhance their employability in an increasingly competitive job market. This initiative is designed to bridge the skills gap in rural areas and provide young people with meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Strategy:
Collaboration is at the heart of OFSI’s strategy.
The foundation partners with local NGOs that have a deep understanding of the communities they serve, ensuring that interventions are both relevant and impactful. Partners such as DHAN Foundation, Umeed Hope Foundation, Unnati, Arunodhaya, ASSCOD, Transgender Resource Centre, VAPS, The Nudge, and Cuddles Foundation work alongside OFSI in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Karnataka.
These partnerships are supported by a robust Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework, which ensures that the impact of each project is measured, scalable, and sustainable.
By integrating healthcare, women’s empowerment, and youth skilling into its community-driven model, OFSI contributes to the global SDGs, working to build healthier, more inclusive, and economically resilient societies.
