AfriLED Foundation

We've noticed that there is a huge gap in the areas of proper Personal Development (self awareness), Leadership capacity building, and Entrepreneurial Development amongst undergraduate youths as a root cause of graduate unemployment. We have significantly identified that over 600,000 young people are graduated every year across Nig. without jobs. The increasing density of graduate unemployment now results in; ▫️Wide spread youth-incited crimes. ▫️Increasing poverty in families that have struggled to raise graduates. ▫️High brain drain traffic out of the continent. ▫️Increasing local human problems without sustainable solutions So, in alignment with these social challenges and goals, AfriLED was birthed with the goal to tackle Graduate unemployment from the very root (campus level). We are focused undergraduate youth based Development organization that nurtures undergraduate youths into who they truly are, and uncovering their potentials while still on campus. Our works through these periods, are significantly contributing to raising young transformational Leaders, real problem solving Entrepreneurs and SDG social changemakers within the country with substantial mindset shift amongst our undergraduate trainees. Our annual program run for 10 months across personal development, practical skills development, Leadership Capacity Building, Entrepreneurship Development, incubation Programs, mentorship and modeling of successful Nigerians in the fields. Our target is to nurture, develop and empower 30 young lives that will birth diverse sustainable solutions to numerous local problems every year. 30 per campus, 10 campuses per state, totalling 10,800 undergraduates across the 36 states in Nigeria to be directly annually, out of over 600,000 graduated annually. We believe in changing the continent by nurturing and empowering the young people.
