Civil Society Rise (CiSoRise)

Civil Society Rise (CiSoRise) is a new social (tech) enterprise that seeks to empower civil society to thrive. Many Civil Society Organizations (CSOS) lack the time and resources to maintain an effective online presence and to comply with online transparency requirements (or foundation and individual donor expectations), which in turn hinders their ability to receive public and private grants, donations, and to fundraise for social impact. We provide CSOs with effective websites that include an integrated transparency module that makes compliance centralized and easy. The module serves as detailed checklist and organized repository where required documents are made publicly available. It includes a point system and ranking stamps that encourage credibility at the country level and also at an international, ‘best practices’ level. (The module can also be added on to existing websites.) Our product was developed and tested in Brazil, where we are currently launching the newest, country-tailored version of our platform, but we aim to expand internationally.
