Community Design Agency
Community Design Agency (CDA) is a community development practice that addresses systemic inequalities by working alongside marginalized communities to reimagine and transform spaces where people live, work and play. Globally, up to 330 million households live in inadequate housing, and countless workers, especially in the informal sector, work in unsafe conditions. Conditions that directly impact physical and mental health; access to livelihoods and education; gender, ability and class inclusion and the ability to withstand and recover from disasters. CDA’s processes integrate access to architecture, placemaking, engineering, and social support services, all of which are aimed at strengthening the robust communal infrastructure that are inherent in disenfranchised communities.
