We are a non-profit startup on a mission to build a critical mass of 1 billion people, taking personal and collective action for a better future for Africa and the world one action and community at a time. To deliver on our mission, we inspire, empower and mobilize action for sustainable development. DO inspire, empower and mobilise individuals and institutions to take action for sustainable development in Africa with a key focus on Education. We provide resources, toolkits, support, incentives and platforms for grassroots development champions(GDC) to address pressing challenges and create positive change in their communities. Together, we are building a better future for Africa through personal and collective action. Goal 1: Inspire: Inspire 10,000 individuals across Africa, sparking impactful actions, directly impacting 50,000 Africans in 500 Communities, and fostering positive change per year. Goal 2: Empower: Equipping 10,000 individuals with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to drive sustainable transformation in their communities. Goal 3: Mobilise: Mobilising 50,000 people taking Individual action and catalysing collective action by bringing together diverse stakeholders, businesses, and communities to collaboratively address social and environmental challenges. DO has achieved significant impact since inception, making tangible difference in various areas: since 2020 till-date we have inspired and supported the growth of over 600 GDCs have been activated, leading to 500+ sustainable development actions using our toolkit fostering a culture of responsible and impactful actions.. Our model has impacted 50,000+ beneficiaries providing them with access to resources, opportunities, and tools for growth. Creating a lasting impact on more than 60 communities, implementing initiatives that promote economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability especially benefiting women and underserved populations. We create impact at scale by activating change communities to be vehicles for sustainable development, via establishing partnerships with organizations like UN Women, the Commonwealth, Z Zurich, and the Yali Network Abuja that enable us to ensure every member of these communities uses the DO model and makes a difference in their community. We operationalize our approach to building a critical mass of 1billion people through the following: We Inspire: Through concerted media activities and community outreaches, we inspire Africans to engage and take action for change in their local communities and spheres of influence. We Empower. Through our expertise in research, program planning & design, resource & stakeholder mobilization, stakeholder engagement, advocacy, capacity development and training, we empower & support individuals taking action for change in their local community. We Incentivise: Through a points-based rewards system, we offer incentives to motivate Africans to take action to tackle pressing challenges in their local communities. We Amplify and coordinate: Through Program design and implementation we amplify and coordinate individual action for impact at scale.
