GIRLS FIRST INITIATIVE (GFI)

Girls First Initiative aims to implement a comprehensive model that tackles the obstacles encountered by adolescent mothers and young women who are not attending school in Tanzania. Our model encompasses a variety of programs and interventions aimed at empowering our beneficiaries economically, socially, and personally. We offer a comprehensive entrepreneurship training program that empowers adolescent mothers and young women who are out of school. Our program equips them with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully start and manage their own businesses. We offer a wide range of workshops that cover essential topics such as business planning, financial management, marketing strategies, and customer relations. We provide financial literacy education to enhance participants' comprehension of financial concepts and empower them to make well-informed decisions regarding their finances. We highlight the significance of savings and budgeting, along with strategies for accessing credit and investment opportunities. Our mentorship program connects participants with seasoned mentors who offer personalized guidance, support, and motivation to help them reach their goals. Mentors play a crucial role in guiding and supporting participants, inspiring them to overcome obstacles and develop self-assurance in their pursuit of goals. We aim to establish a nurturing atmosphere where teenage mothers and young women who are not in school can flourish economically, socially, and personally. Our ultimate goal is to empower them to build sustainable livelihoods and reach their maximum potential.
