GOTAS PROJECT
The Gotas project is a social initiative focused on environmental conservation in Venezuela. The project aims to promote sustainable development, environmental awareness and improve the quality of life of vulnerable communities in the Gran Sabana through artistic activities, environmental education, protection and conservation projects that serve as an economic and progressive alternative to mining. In that sense, the project is divided into three models of action that are defined as non-confrontational, non-political denunciation, rather they focus on promoting greater awareness for the Venezuelan biodiversity, one of the most privileged on the planet. Gotas works in collaboration with several organizations, including the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and local NGOs, to carry out its mission. Since 2022 Gotas has been part of the United Nations Protection Cluster (Venezuelan Chapter), and in 2023 was approved as a UN implementing partner for the next 4 years.
