Idobro Impact Solutions

Idobro Impact Solutions, a social enterprise based in India, was established in 2009 and seeks to be a catalyst for innovations and collaborations that benefit people and planet. Idobro was formed as an active and deeper model of engagement to facilitate and implement market-based solutions that: i. reduce the information divide which exists between the private and development sector so as to connect, communicate and collaborate ii. promote products, services, events and media with social and environmental impact into the consideration set of consumers, corporate and community. A hybrid organization, The RISE Infinity Foundations (RIF) was established in 2014, to strengthen individuals and institutions to take positive action for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and so restore and recreate a better world and greener planet for all. IDOBRO stands for i5, which is our Theory of Change that follows the I-O-O-I framework. Dobro means 5 in an ancient biblical language. Hence Idobro is the five-step process to multiplying impact, the outcome of which is based on activities around communication and advocacy, stakeholder engagement and capacity and finally evaluation and strategies that lead to sustainable multi-stakeholder programs. Traditional interventions identify needs and provide solutions in a transactional mode. To scale such solutions, we need to have a system view. Poverty alleviation and Eco-system restoration has to be everyone’s problem and needs to be tackled at every level in society. Idobro has designed solutions and innovations around 3 levels - Citizenship at the individual level, entrepreneurship at the organization level and Partnership at the eco-system level. Our Citizenship program works with individuals and students to influence change while our Entrepreneurship vertical supports Women, Social and Green Enterprises (WSGE) to start, sustain and scale. Finally, we facilitate Partnerships for socio-environomic impact by bringing together the broad stakeholder groups necessary for sustainable development viz. Government, Industry, Academia and Civil Society. Accordingly, we have designed development models for all three verticals to foster dialogue and engagement while mapping capabilities and challenges for strategic collaboration. All our work is on the solid foundation of the RISE Values that are universal and shared in some degree by all – Responsible, Inclusive, Sustainable and Eco(system)friendly. The RISE Principles and framework are the drivers of positive action and collective impact for all our multi-stakeholder programs and projects. Our annual RISE World Summit provides thought leadership to foster dialogue, build capabilities and facilitate collaborations for integrated development. The RISE Summit started in 2013 and has grown from a one-city-two-day event to a two-city-five-day event. It is also global in outlook. The last two editions were held virtually. RWS2022 saw 4700 participants from 61 countries. Together, Idobro and RISE have an end-to-end approach that seeks to overcome systemic barriers and forge alliances driven by shared values. Our local and global experience in urban and rural settings, with online and offline tools for corporate and non-profit, government and academic initiatives has co-created a 360o action platform with long term outcomes and value to our communities, reaching out to over two million lives.
