The first objective is to develop Qatar’s national plan for Sustainable Consumption and Production (QCP), which encourages the utilization of approaches, tools, and policies that contribute to protecting the environment, conserving water energy, and other natural resources while contributing to poverty eradication and sustainable lifestyles. The second objective is to develop a sustainability plan that will preserve natural resources for future generations by controlling the rate of consumption from surpassing that of production of renewable sources, encouraging the use of eco-friendly and biodegradable products, and making sustainable planning or replacement or replenishment of resources usage and setting a specific numerical target and indicator for SCP in Qatar in following priority areas of the strategy namely energy, water and environment.
