Independent (Elie Ntakirutimana)

I am a Community Engagement and Capacity Building Specialist with over 15 years of experience in humanitarian and development contexts across Rwanda. My professional journey has centered on empowering vulnerable children, youth, families, and communities through program management, curriculum development, training facilitation, proposal design, and policy formulation. Currently serving as Protection Manager at World Relief Rwanda, I lead interventions in Family Promotion, Child Protection, and Youth Empowerment while promoting gender and social inclusion in program design and implementation. My career began in education and humanitarian response, working with refugees, marginalized youth, and families affected by poverty and social challenges. Over the years, I have coordinated initiatives in community development, research, psychosocial support, and curriculum development. I have trained and mentored thousands of volunteers, faith leaders, and local partners to sustainably carry forward community transformation. I also bring strong experience in partnership building with government institutions, NGOs, and faith-based organizations, ensuring inclusive and collaborative solutions. Beyond my professional work, I actively contribute to community-led development as the Coordinator of the Project Coordination Committee in Jali Sector, where I have mobilized local resources for water access, road infrastructure, and neighborhood development projects. My voluntary service reflects my deep commitment to social impact and resilience building within communities. Mission: My mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities to realize their full potential by fostering dignity, resilience, and sustainable development through inclusive and participatory approaches. Vision: My vision is a society where vulnerable populations—especially children, youth, and families—are protected, equipped, and empowered to thrive, creating stronger, more resilient communities for future generations.
