Independent (Mohit Rauniyar)

Mohit Rauniyar is the Founder of Canopy Nepal, a social enterprise dedicated to creating educational accessibility for underprivileged students and promoting interactive learning in classrooms across Nepal. With over 13 years of experience in education, Mohit has reached more than 14,000 students in Nepal. A graduate student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Mohit is also a Cheng Fellow at the Social Innovation + Change Initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School. His commitment to education and social impact extends beyond Nepal as he is actively involved in several global organizations. He is a member of the Global Shaper community in both Kathmandu and Boston, a Guide at The Resolution Project in New York, and the Country Coordinator for NCEP Canada. Additionally, Mohit worked as a teacher for 3 years and is currently a Board of Directors (BOD) member at Bloom Nepal School. Mohit's passion for quality education and sustainable development has led him to become a Climate Reality Leader at The Climate Reality Project and a Global Changemaker at Youth Forum Switzerland. His diverse roles and extensive experience have positioned him as a strong advocate for educational reform and social change in Nepal and beyond. Through Canopy Nepal, Mohit aims to address systemic education challenges by providing equitable access to quality education, particularly for students from socially, ethnically, and financially disadvantaged communities. Canopy Nepal's initiatives include scholarship programs, interactive learning sessions, and workshops that foster creativity, critical thinking, and personal development among students. Mohit's vision is to create an education system in Nepal where every child, regardless of their socio-economic, gender, or geographical background, has the knowledge and skills necessary to lead an independent, sustainable, and quality life. As Canopy Nepal continues to grow, Mohit aspires to expand the organization's reach and impact, ensuring that more students have the opportunity to succeed academically and personally. He is committed to collaborating with other leaders and organizations to further the cause of education and social innovation, leveraging his experiences and networks to create a lasting positive impact.
