Independent (Onthatile William)
I am honored to serve as the Treasure General of the University of Botswana Political Science Society. In this role, I am responsible for managing the society's finances, including budgeting, fundraising, and reporting. I am also a member of the society's executive committee, and as such, I play a role in decision-making and strategic planning. As treasure general, my top priority is ensuring the financial stability of the society. This includes developing and monitoring the budget, managing expenses, and identifying new sources of revenue. I also work closely with the other members of the executive committee to develop strategies for the Society. My second priority is ensuring that our members have access to the resources they need to succeed. This includes keeping track of membership dues, managing finances and grant funds, and helping to facilitate networking and professional development opportunities. I work hard to make sure that our society finances are well handled and used for the right purpose. I am also committed to promoting transparency and accountability within the society. I provide regular reports on the society's finances, and I ensure that all financial decisions are made with the best interests of the society in mind. I believe that this transparency is essential to maintaining the trust of our members and the public. As a student at the University of Botswana, I have dedicated myself to being an active and engaged member of the campus community. I have volunteered with several student organizations, like the student welfare department , where I assisted during school events like UB marathon, UB graduation ceremony. I also worked as an attaché at Botswana Tourism Organization and Department of Deeds Registry, where I gained valuable experience in the corporate world. Additionally, I have started my own company, Global Grill Pty.Ltd, which provides catering services for special events. Through these experiences, I have developed strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
