Irrsinnig Menschlich (Madly Human)
We at Irrsinnig Menschlich, known in English as Madly Human, have been motivating young people with our mental health prevention programmes for over 23 years. Our international non-profit organisation based in Leipzig, Germany, is committed to cross-sectoral work in the fields of education (school, vocational training, higher education) and health (prevention, care).
Our core competence lies in developing low-threshold universal prevention programmes and in implementing and scaling them on a supra-regional level with the sup¬port of numerous partners from community mental health.
We are experts at promoting positive mental health in young people: we easily verbalise mental health issues and help children and adolescents to recognise issues earlier, not to hide themselves and accept help. We seek to improve participants’ understanding of mental health and illness and to reduce the stigma, fears and prejudices associated.
Our target groups are young people aged 8–25 and the adults who work with them such as teachers, school social workers and professionals working in child and youth welfare services.
