Karo Sambhav
Karo Sambhav, which means "Make it Possible" in Hindi, is on a mission of enabling circular economy across multiple sectors. We pioneer and provide circular economy solutions to leading enterprises (clients include Apple, Dell, HPE, Ericsson, Nokia, Saint Gobain). To do this we develop a) Grassroot channels for collection of waste products by collaborating with: Retailers, Repair Shops, Offices, Formalised Waste Aggregators, Pickers, Communities –making it easy for people to give/sell their end-of-life products/waste b) High Quality Recycling Infrastructure –so that materials can be recovered from collected products/waste c) Secondary raw material (SRMs) utilisation solutions –so that recycled materials can be used to create new products instead of using virgin raw materials. We started work with e-waste, and gradually built solutions for plastics packaging, batteries, glass and tyre waste. We have engineered a technology (IT) platform which fosters full transparency and traceability in the waste value chain. We have also started projects on recovery of Critical Raw Materials (CRMs) from waste including rare earths to enable net-zero transition in partnership with academia, research institutes and government. We have strategic alliances with e.g. International Finance Corporation, ILO, WEEE Forum (Brussels), GIZ (Germany), Dept of Telecom, AEPW, UN Bodies, World Economic Forum.
