Khween Shebar Health
Khween Shebar is an ethical manufacturer that is focused on creating simple, slow made and high quality skincare to help sustainably manage and genuinely soothe dry and sensitive skin condition whether mild or acute. Our products are chemical-shy and made with a few raw ingredients that have minimal to no reported side effects because we don't use cheap fillers, artificial or synthetic preservatives. We are an ethical business because we promote conscious skincare where we encourage consumers to pay attention to product ingredients and not fall victim to aspirational marketing or greenwashing. At Khween Shebar, we use ancient knowledge of sustainable and gentle ways of managing or improving skin and hair without the use of complicated routines. All our products are multi-purpose and genuinely work for both skin and hair. We are living in times when global product markers is practicing "Green Washing" which is the process of conveying a false impression or misleading information about how a company’s products are environmentally sound. We have committed to forming alliances with sustainable media partners, especially on the online space to continue educating people around responsible and sustainable packaging. We are business that formulates handcrafts and packages all our products from scratch. This has means that all our workers learn useful artisan skills that can provide valuable work now and in their future. Artisan production is a community building exercise that will outlive any new technology because the human touch is the ultimate quality control mechanism. We have attracted like-minded exposure from organizations that promote people to buy slow made and effective local products instead of over processed products that don't come with as many benefits. Khween Shebar products only make use of Fairtrade raw ingredients that are being grown sustainably- a big example being that we don't use palm oil at all in manufacturing our products. Palm oil is a very widely used and inexpensive oil but the price does not take into consideration the environmental damage of palm oil production. The fast development and growing global demand for palm oil in the cosmetic and food industry paired with poor policy have led to large-scale deforestation especially in tropical areas , animal habitat loss and exploitation of workers, thereby rendering conventional palm oil unsustainable. Our aim is to continue providing best practice manufacturing and conscientizing consumers to buying consciously to protect our environment and the sustainable health of human beings and our beautiful African Continent.
