KUZA Biashara

Kuza One is a social enterprise that is reimagining rural livelihoods through a unique people-and-platform approach to food systems change. The core idea is to empower rural youth as "Agripreneurs," providing them with digital tools, knowledge and a service provider network to deliver last-mile services to smallholder farmers. Through a unique, open digital public infrastructure called “OneNetwork”, Kuza is addressing critical gaps in access to information, fragmented extension services, access to inputs, credit, markets and logistics, ultimately improving farmer incomes and creating sustainable rural livelihoods. The major gap Kuza fills is the last-mile delivery of agricultural services, complimenting the existing, inefficient government extension systems and high private sector costs, which disproportionately affects smallholder farmers in emerging markets.
