NEST is committed to empowering its community members with a special focus on protecting the rights of children from all forms of abuse in Korogocho slum and surrounding areas. Our mission includes mobilizing and influencing stakeholders to address key issues affecting the development of youth and women. Through our mentorship programs, we support children’s basic education and promote their talents, helping them become pacesetters for social transformation. We are expanding our initiatives by rolling out new programs aimed at supporting youth through digital transformation. This initiative will provide the skills and tools necessary for young people to thrive in the digital economy, creating new opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship. Additionally, we are focusing on the environment by adopting regenerative agriculture practices, promoting sustainable farming methods that restore ecosystems, improve food security, and support community livelihoods. NEST also aims to promote research by establishing a resource center where scholars and community members can access vital information. By partnering with learning institutions, we host interns, researchers, and scholars to engage with our projects. We offer capacity-building training in areas such as project management, human rights, leadership, life skills, and counseling. We are dedicated to promoting social entrepreneurship, helping young mothers and youth break the cycle of poverty through sustainable income-generating activities. NEST will continue to facilitate baseline surveys, implement impactful programs, and monitor progress, creating a better future for the most vulnerable members of the community.
