Peoples’ Vigilance Committee on Human Rights (PVCHR)

PVCHR started in 1996 as a membership based human rights movement in Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), one of the most traditional, conservative and segregated regions in India. PVCHR ideology is inspired by the father of the Dalit movement, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar (Father of modern India) and Mahatma Gandhi (father of Nations).
