Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU)
Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU) is a youth-centered non-profit organization focused on youth empowerment with emphasis on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) including access to information and services through targeted social behavioral change communication and advocacy intervention on modern contraception, HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, GBV, menstrual health, innovation, mental health, climate change and livelihoods. Founded in 2011, RAHU continues to focus on challenging negative social norms, structural and system barriers that limit access to quality SRHR information and services among young people working through a peer-to-peer approach to mitigate sexual reproductive health risks among the young people 10 - 30 years today. RAHU’s strength lies in the ability to mobilize and empower a diverse network of young people and generate demand for services through its elaborate network of partners, peer educators, peer providers, and male engagement models.
