Sanyu Centre for Arts and Rights (SARI)

SARI’s work addresses systemic and gender factors that fuel youth unemployment, mental health challenges, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights, Sexual and Gender Based Violence and limited human rights awareness among young people especially girls and young women in slum and refugee communities. We use arts and design, writing, dance, music and cinema to engage the young people and communities in addressing the above issues. We do this through forming small collectives and social movements.
