Tanzania Community Care Organization

Since its establishment, Tanzania Community Care Organization (TACCO) has focused its activities on Malaria, Maternal, family planning, HIV and TB under the projects of Behavior Change Communication (BCC) through PSI and Tanzania capacity and communication project (TCCP) through Tanzania Communication and Development Center TCDC funded by USAID and Global funds and on Educational sector through Education Quality Improvement Program (EQUIP Tanzania) funded by UKAIDS. TACCO through TCCP and BCC projects has been working closely with Council Health Management Team (CHMT) District Medical Officer (DMO) offices by involved them in activity planning, review and evaluation meeting and jointly supervision. TACCO used 10 trained staff, 49 Community Change Agent (CCAs) and 578 Community Health Workers (volunteers).
