Tchova Legacy (TL)

As the Founder and CEO of Tchova Legacy, I lead a youth-powered social initiative committed to empowering Black youth in Angola and across Africa through education, advocacy, and sustainable action. My role combines vision, strategy, and grassroots implementation to ensure that our mission, centered around identity, purpose, and future-building, becomes a reality in the lives of young people. At Tchova Legacy, I am responsible for designing and driving the organization’s core programs, which focus on Global Citizenship Education (GCED), Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), sustainability, youth leadership, and energy transition. These areas reflect the multidimensional challenges that many African youth face today, disconnection from global systems, fragile identity, climate injustice, and lack of access to transformative education. My work involves building partnerships with local and international stakeholders, mentoring youth leaders, facilitating community-based learning, and curating opportunities for young people to grow through civic engagement, storytelling, and innovation. I also ensure that our team operates with integrity, creativity, and deep cultural awareness, allowing us to serve communities authentically. As a civic youth leader recognized by the U.S. Government, and with a background in Energy Engineering and Sustainable Project Management, I bring a systems-thinking approach to our mission. I understand that empowerment is not just about training, it’s about shifting paradigms, breaking cycles of marginalization, and restoring dignity. Tchova Legacy does this by promoting youth agency, collective action, and bold imagination. Since our founding, I have led Tchova Legacy through the design of several community-centered projects, including initiatives on identity reconstruction, youth advocacy training, environmental awareness, and leadership incubators. We aim to support the next generation of changemakers who are ready to lead not only in their neighborhoods but on global stages as well. I also work to amplify youth voices through storytelling, digital tools, and strategic convenings. One of my key beliefs is that young people must be part of decision-making spaces, not only as beneficiaries but as co-creators of solutions. Through our “Tchova Circles” and future programs, we will continue to build a culture of solidarity, innovation, and purpose-led action.
