The Girl Nurture Project
The Girl Nurture Project is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering girls in rural Northern Province, Zambia. Our mission is to reintegrate girls who have dropped out of school back into education, alleviating poverty and promoting gender equality. The Problem
Girls in rural Zambia face numerous barriers to education, including:
- Early marriages
- Teenage pregnancies
- Traditional patriarchal beliefs
- Limited access to resources and support Our Approach
1. Education Reintegration: We identify and support girls who have dropped out of school, providing counseling, scholarships, and educational materials. 2. Economic Empowerment: Vocational training and entrepreneurship skills enable girls to become financially independent. 3. Advocacy: We challenge harmful practices and promote girls' rights through community engagement and policy influence. 4. Mentorship: Positive role models guide girls in their personal and academic development.
