The Mariam Adeola Gbadebo (MAG) Foundation

Mariam is a broadcaster, conference host, workshop facilitator and public speaker with a track record of eight years with unwavering passion for leveraging media and communication to drive social change and development. As the Founding Executive Director of the MAG Foundation, Mariam wields a master's degree in communication and language arts, specialising in broadcasting and journalism, as well as an eCertificate in Gender and Intersectionality from the University of Iceland. She is also an esteemed alumna of the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy, and Development and a YouthRise Nigeria Fellow. PART A. BACKGROUND OF THE ORGANISATION A1. The Mariam Adeola Gbadebo (MAG) Foundation BACKGROUND The Mariam Adeola Gbadebo (MAG) Foundation - (The Mariam Adeola Gbadebo (MAG) Foundation) is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organisation established in 2023 to foster transformative change by promoting good health, gender equality, and environmental sustainability in Africa. (See www.themagfoundation.org). The foundation was formally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission on July 17, 2023, with registration number CAC/IT/No. 7057396. The Mariam Adeola Gbadebo (MAG) Foundation is dedicated to fostering an African society that is healthy, empowered, and equitable for all through initiatives that prioritise good health, gender equality, and environmental sustainability. Our work is committed to creating lasting, positive change across communities facing health and development challenges that hinder progress and stability. Our approach integrates initiatives aimed at enhancing public health, empowering women economically, and advancing ecological sustainability to uplift families and communities and contribute to the well-being and prosperity of individuals across the continent. The Mariam Adeola Gbadebo (MAG) Foundation is committed to driving impactful, lasting change through a holistic and multisectoral approach to health, gender equality, and environmental sustainability. Our work is rooted in a belief that public health, economic inclusion, and environmental stewardship are deeply interconnected. We view gender equality as a fundamental right and an essential driver of health, education, and community development.
