The Project Suicide (TPS)
The Project Suicide is an initiative aimed at addressing the growing problem of suicide in Pakistan, a critical issue
that is often stigmatized and underreported. The Project has been recently selected, out of more than 3000
projects from around the globe, by the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA). Currently,
Phase II of the project focuses on three sections of the population: youth, intersex/transgender, and the general
population. The aim is to raise awareness and encourage help-seeking behaviors among these groups by
organizing awareness events in public places and developing a mobile app (In Phase II) that will provide suicide-related information and data reporting. The Project focuses on the contribution to sustainable development
goals, including SDG 3, Target 3.4, and Indicator 3.4.2., Suicide Prevention.
