The Youth Café
The Youth Café (TYC) is a not-for-profit Pan-African youth organization that was founded in 2012 and works with young people in Africa and around the world to foster community resilience, propose innovative solutions, drive social progress, enable youth empowerment, and inspire political change. The Youth Café is headquartered at Kitisuru Gardens, in Nairobi, Kenya. TYC is Africa's largest and most diverse convening community of professionals harnessing youth-led potentials and transforming them into sustainable youth-enabled futures. Its Nairobi HQ has supported regional focal points in West, East, and South Africa since 2014. It is committed to creating a youth-led future and dedicated to the transformative process that equips African youths through initiating and facilitating programs, and initiatives and collaborating with various partners to locate the future in the hands of the youths. Its broad membership plan enables TYC to fill the role of incubator and trusted center of excellence for best practices, tools, and international standards for youth development. The Youth Cafe (TYC) is guided by a common vision of creating a paradigm shift towards the recognition and support of the youth to harness their potential by building capacity for quality education and skills improvement, health and well-being, good governance, human rights and accountability, employment opportunities, leadership skills, empowerment, and entrepreneurship.
