ABOUT US: Thogithi Handmade is Community Based Organization based in Laikipia County in Kenya and an initiative founded to empower women and local communities. Thogithi aims to catalyze local production, improve livelihoods, encourage entrepreneurship, and address the potential women must improve their livelihoods by undertaking activities that utilize local resources and skills to generate income and build their communities. The CBO is anchored on the following sustainable goals. 1. No poverty 2. Zero hunger 3. Climate action 4. Women economic empowerment What we do: • Project Implementors: With our rich community social capital, we understand many of the local dynamics that influence project outcomes. As project implementing agents for projects related to the CBO’s anchor sustainable goals, we are thus able to navigate through these dynamics and efficiently implement donor-funded projects. • Private labels - We offer you an opportunity to partner with us for your brand white label. We position ourselves as your brand partner. We can make you gift items for your organization for employees and giveaways. • Partnering in CSR efforts – Thogithi Handmade offers organizations an avenue to directly engage with grassroots communities we work with in their CSR efforts, thus ensuring maximum impact without being bogged down with much of the local socio-political dynamics. • Corporate buddy program – Individuals within organizations can identify activity within our programs and recommend their employer for sponsorship/support. This support might include supporting our groups by organizing learning or sharpening important skills such as financial competency, managing group dynamics, etc., particularly when such skills are a main stay of the employer. Others would include buying beehives or purchasing tree seedlings for distribution. This program is part of the CBO’s efforts at sustainability for participating groups.
