Voice of Women Africa (VoWA)
Education:
We aim to build a cadre of women who believe in themselves and in other women. By providing access to education, technical and career skills, and strategic leadership training (Public speaking, strategic communication, community engagement, organizing) for women and girls, we aim to increase women’s leadership and political participation, in service of national development.
Mentoring:
Our mentoring program creates potential sponsors for girls and bridges the generational gap, for closer ties between women and girls across many sectors.
Bridging the Intergenerational and knowledge gap between and amongst women is critical work, in service of creating opportunities for all to impact the world.
Providing support to girls, improves their ability to establish a sustainable feminist movement through this inter generational interaction.
Economic Empowerment:
Women’s empowerment and leadership, cannot be separated from their economic strength. If women do not achieve their full economic potential, national economies will also continue to suffer.
We support women owned businesses in improving access to finance, providing financial education, and providing opportunities for skills development through our social enterprise, AFRiLOSOPHY. Increased financial inclusion contributes towards reducing inequalities and creating sustainable livelihood options with greater financial inclusion, which enable women to access justice, agency within communities, and improved wellbeing.
