Social entrepreneurs are known for finding solutions to society’s problems. What is the problem you are addressing and your solution?
Resources and training are not readily available to the Malaysian people. Pepper Labs provides comprehensive infrastructure that supports beneficiaries by providing digital and economic empowerment programmes. Each cohort is trained and mentored for one to three months depending on capacity.
Pepper Labs’ programmes focus on three key areas:
- Micro-entrepreneurship and digital empowerment: Pepper Labs runs a programme focusing on the digitalisation of existing or new micro-enterprises through entrepreneurial training and digital mentoring, including training on managing logistics, e-commerce and payment systems. - Youth development, gig economy and social entrepreneurship: Pepper Labs runs a changemaker programme to shape a new generation of social entrepreneurs and digital ambassadors. Are there any recent activities you would like to share?
Pepper Labs is well known for its work at the local community level following its previous work with Masala Wheels, a social enterprise founded to feed and empower marginalised communities. In partnership with Masala Wheels, Pepper Labs provided capacity building and employment for marginalised communities in Malaysia, in the form of culinary training and food and beverage business training, with a key focus on the youth.
Pepper Labs is proud of how the Masala Wheels beneficiaries have uplifted themselves and is looking forward to expanding ways to make a positive impact on society.
