Reflections on Catalyst 2030 Membership Survey
Towards the end of 2022 many of you participated in the Annual Membership Survey. As we noted, as Catalyst 2030 continues to grow at a rapid pace, we need to assess our efforts and impact.
We are delighted to share the report findings with our members. It provides us not only with insights into the year, but also explores the findings, lessons learned and suggestions for next steps.
The survey results revealed members’ four most valuable Catalyst 2030 programmes, which include collaborations, country and regional chapters, working groups and learning series. As one member stated, “Catalyst 2030 has made me realise that when we are in collaboration, great things happen”. The survey results are summarised in the final report presentation.
The central lessons learned from the findings that will help guide direction for Catalyst 2030 in 2023 include:
- Increasing collaborations and opportunities for social entrepreneurs
- The chapter movement is key to success
- Stronger membership engagement and information sharing
- Need to accelerate awareness and impact of the movement
In response to our member’s input, the network needs to provide the structures to ensure they feel the movement is one in which they can thrive and make a lasting impact. This includes clear directions on what members can do, and participate in, within the network as well as highlighting potential collaborations. As another member outlined in the survey,
“Catalyst has provided social entrepreneurs with a seat at the table by empowering us with knowledge on how we can leverage the power of collaborations to bring about systems change, source funding and create social change.”
We continue our journey of learning and connecting diverse and like-minded social innovators around the world with a common goal and mindset of fulfilling the SDGs together. While we focus on improving our community, we must focus equally on celebrating the transformative and tremendous work we have accomplished so far.
