Toynovo: Democratising learning from early childhood

Catalyst 2030 member Shoe Waste

Toynovo focuses on early childhood development and promotes children’s play in vulnerable communities in Columbia together with the Taap Foundation. The organisation has averted 35 million tonnes of CO2 being released into the environment by extending the life of more than 3000 educational materials and toys.

The organisation, founded in 2019, serves 4000 families and employs nine people.

Social entrepreneurs are known for finding solutions for society’s problems. What is the problem that you are addressing, and what is your solution?

Inequity. Toynovo democratises learning and building positive relationships through play, using a circular and collaborative economic model. Some 70% of our clients are middle and low income families.
