Catalyst 2030 comprises social enterprises, NGOs, intermediaries, funders and other social change innovators, collaborating in this urgent moment to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We live in a unique era of human progress. Extreme poverty, malnutrition, violence, and infectious disease have plummeted, while life expectancy, literacy rates, and electricity access have soared. Yet, severe inequalities in income, health, education, and representation disadvantage billions around the world. Meanwhile, humanity’s growing ecological footprint is threatening many of the natural systems we all depend on—such as climate, oceans, land, biodiversity, and fresh water—which are nearing irreversible tipping points. These crises often intersect, creating conditions ripe for instability and conflict.
We may be the last generation that can act to reverse these trends. Catalyst 2030 believes that collective action and bold, new strategies are needed to address the crises of our time. Joining forces with communities, governments, businesses, and others, Catalyst 2030 members are working toward changing systems at all levels. Cumulatively, members have already impacted the lives of millions, often with limited resources. Together, we envision the realisation of the SDGs for all.

This position is remote and can be carried out from most regions that have some overlap with CET working hours.
We are currently recruiting for an Africa Chapters’ Coordinator to help organise a variety of initiatives that are commencing around the world as part of this movement with a focus on the Africa region, focusing on Anglophone and Francophone country chapters. This role requires collaboration with the Catalyst 2030 network membership, so you will need to be able to engage key stakeholders to work towards common goals within a complex international structure, cultural nuances and sensitivities. You will be able to foster a deep understanding of the challenges faced by social entrepreneurs around the world, and deploy your expert relationship skills to demonstrate and communicate the future narrative of the collective movement. In addition, you have excellent English language skills, both written and spoken and fluency in at least one of the other 6 official UN languages is an asset. You are familiar with the SDGs and social entrepreneurs and able to coordinate between several chapters and stakeholders.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support several initiatives and tasks from members within the chapter with a focus on impact investment and oriented funding, cross-sector collaboration, systems change in general, social entrepreneurship and the SDGs
- Coordinate/support internal and external activities (local or international meetings, travel and other logistics, drafting and editing of minutes, presentations, partners communications via email or telephone etc.)
- Assist in producing and editing diverse documents, in different languages
- Update and prepare overviews, Zoho, Salesforce and various documents, etc.
- Update and manage the diverse communication platforms used by the chapters including the website, Zoho, WhatsApp, Google Drive, etc.
- Support the coordination of the different regional and country approaches of the movement
- Ensure good representation in the region, mapping areas and SDGs engagement
- Report to the chapter coordinator on a weekly basis
- Ensure the correct management of the membership data and information
- Support the Membership department with onboarding members from the African region with due diligence, connecting and guiding new members within the chapter
- Ensure multilingual components are available and translate documents as needed
- Other ad hoc tasks
Requirements and Skills
- At least 3-5 years of professional and relevant experience
- A Masters degree with a strong interest in the SDGs, systemic change and social entrepreneurship
- Strong interest and familiarity in the regional issues of Africa
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and French (Other languages such as Portuguese and Arabic would be an asset)
- Globally oriented and have an affinity with systems change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive hands-on mentality
- Excellent people and networking skills
- Proven organisational skills and the ability to work in a multicultural setting and meet deadlines
- Hands-on attitude and willing to help out flexibly if required
- A competitive salary in line with the guidelines outlined for the sector in the Netherlands, range of EUR 2500 – EUR 3000 gross per month including 8% holiday pay depending on years of experience
