The deep, systemic transformation that is required for accomplishment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals requires more than fixing and changing endemic problems within current social and economic norms, which have proven to be antithetical to our long term survival. This session will explore how current norms are underpinned by a faulty narrative, how scientific breakthroughs underpin a new narrative, and how that narrative provides a new basis for deeper solutions to entrenched problems while laying the ground for a new worldview that is fit for the purpose of creating a world that works for everybody.
Cosmologist, Dr. Jude Currivan, and Founder of Capital Institute and Impact Investor, John Fullerton, will join Dr. Joni Carley, convener of the United Nations Unitive Cluster, in dialog about how the emergent global call for deep, systemic, transformative change is anchored in science, coherent with spiritual and ethical principles, and grounded in social and economic approaches that take into account the interlinkages among all living things.
