In this session I aim to introduce a hyper-localised place-based approach to achieving the SDGs from the perspective of a proximity leader. Here I share the journey of Green Life Generation as a grassroots catalyst that has taken a bottom-up approach to achieving the SDGs. Rather than trying to adopt all the SDGs at once, I provide an auto-ethnographic action research approach to Asset Based Community Development that critically applies the 17 SDGs and its targets, one by one. Through the event I aim to showcase how SDG 12 has massive potential to be a foundation for systems change through one of a kind guided learning tour that incorporates theoretical and practical elements highlighting the role of EPR in financing grassroots action.
