In an exciting collaboration for young people in Malaysia, Catalyst 2030 Malaysia Chapter and Moteevasi Media Sdn Bhd (Generasi Marikh Academy) have agreed to collaborate on the development of a Junior Astropreneur Exchange (JAX) Project. Their shared vision is to create a space and social entrepreneurship conference for young individuals through the JAX Project.
The Malaysian the Minister of Science and Technology, YB Tuan Chang Lih Kang, officiated at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the Langkawi International Space Forum, which took place in conjunction with the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA 2023).
Fostering youth entrepreneurship in space exploration
This joint project aims to empower youth and promote innovative solutions to address global challenges in alignment with the SDGs. Under the terms of the MOU, Moteevasi and Catalyst 2030 will work together to support and assist each other in implementing the JAX Project. They will jointly develop a work plan and engage in continuous discussions to ensure the realisation of the JAX Project.
Moteevasi Media is a Malaysian-based company known for its involvement in the Generasi Marikh Academy, focusing on youth development.
The collaboration between Catalyst 2030 and Moteevasi Media represents a significant step towards fostering youth empowerment and social entrepreneurship in the field of space exploration and the entrepreneurship sector. By harnessing the potential of young individuals, the JAX Project aims to drive positive change and contribute to achieving the SDGs.
The MOU signing event was attended by officials from various government agencies, social entrepreneurs and the general public.
